How to Program your LynxR-2 for Self Monitoring Only

Historically with previous versions of the Lynx, you could not have it call you for alarms unless you used a central monitoring service. We have been been experimenting with the new Lynx R2 version however and have found a method to make it call you for alarms without the use of a paid service. The feature actually works very well and the system will even give you a verbal description of which zones are tripped.  Here is how to do it.

Enter into programming by entering (Installer Code + 800). “20” will then be displayed on the keypad. You will then enter the following information (including the *’s). Do one line at a time. Make sure you also press the “*” and at the end of each accepted entry, your system will beep 3 times.

* 41 *

* 42 + Phone Number to call *

* 43 *

* 46 + Phone Number to call *

* 48 7 7

* 49 # 10

* 61 00

* 62 00

* 64 00

* 65 00

* 66 00

* 72 00

* 73 00

* 76 00

* 87 1

* 99 to exit programming. Your system is now ready to call your cell phone or other number when your alarm has been set off.

NOTE: When your alarm system calls you, YOU MUST acknowledge you received the call by pressing any touch tone number on your phone. If you do not acknowledge the alarm, the system will continue to call your phone.
